With great anticipation and a stellar turnout, Voodoo Pink Gallery opened it's doors to the public on August 9th, 2008. The gallery is an alternative to the multiple galleries, focusing on presenting cutting edge art from local and international artists. From lowbrow heavy hitters such as Dark Vomit and Extremo the Clown to the sublime pieces of Charles Linder and Johanna St. Clair, Voodoo Pink shows art that appeals to all tastes. Voodoo Pink is also the home to Larry Fuente, Mendocino's most notorious artist, who has pieces in the Smithsonian's permanent collection and has been featured on the cover of National Geographic.
Located downtown in historical Mendocino, the galleries mission is to restore the reputation of the town's artistic roots, which has deteriorated to kitchy seascapes and floral motifs. The art we feature is thought provoking or humorous and is just damn fun to look at. We welcome you to stop by the gallery when you're in town. Mendocino is a short drive from Marin and San Francisco and is a great place to relax and recharge your batteries.
