Bay Area conceptional artist Charles Linder concocts sculptures and assemblages from found objects, neon and poured resin. Typical materials include deer antlers, mud splattered t-shirts and bullet riddled metal. His epoxy paintings comprised of colored dots suspended in layers of resin and poured drips are brightly colored and create three dimensional surfaces that blur the line between sculpture and painting.Charles, born in 1967 in Pittsburgh, PA received his BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and his MFA from the University of California, Berkeley. He has participated in many goup exhibitions in the Bay Area and internationally. Well known in the local community, Linder is the founder of the alternative art space, Lincart, in San Francisco.
